![]() Regarding your and comment on research screen we are hearing it loud and clear that this is change that is needed sooner than later. In fact it was not a feature we initially planned on offering until our publisher discussed with us that many folks like these. I like you am not a big fan of tutorials. I am liking your idea about splitting the tutorial into chunks and having it be referenced in the future. I have recorded your feedback in our tracker and as we jump into EA will lay out a clearer plan on how we can proceed with community feedback and changes to LoR. Or add a manual so one can fast check stuff, i tried to find it, but there doesnt seem to be thank you for sharing your experiences with the game and providing specific and valuable feedback. Picture of being stuck in the tutorial, end turn greyed out, cant do anything:Īpart from the bugs, the tutorial imho would really benefit from being split into parts that you can jump to, if for example during the game you forget how to do something, and want to check only that thing. Ofc i dont blame the game or something, its early access, i can understand. ![]() After the 3rd time i had enough and rage quitted for now:). Basicly the exploration would find Tiamath last, and the outpost wouldnt arrive before the 10 turns time end, so i couldnt achive this goal and the game wouldnt allow me to advance the turns anymore, so I got stuck. and then i managed to make it bug out on me 3 times. Unfortunately i had to repeat everything to get to the combat part. Ok so it might be chalked up as my fault as i didnt finish the combat part of the tutorial, thinking i could handle it, fair enough. I couldnt make my ship move, it wouldnt fire, the enemy just went around me and fired at my back, while my ship did nothing, didnt try to turn or anything. and I realized my tought that the tactical combat will be intuitive was tottaly wrong. Meanwhile the cats sent some defence force and the combat was joined. I hadnt any troop ships, so i waited to build them. Then i clicked on the occupied planet and it said i was victorious, and the previous option dissapeared. when my ships arrived there was a belt? or an outpost and when i clicked on it with attack, i had an automatic message my fleet lost. Next I proceeded to gear up for war and attacked. Imho this should be tweaked, its annoying, a request every fourth tourn, specially if its the same one you said no before, should be the minimum. It went ok if a bit boring till a certain point (maybe some early space monsters could make the start more entratining), the first race, the cats was very friendly and bombarded me nearly each turn with nap and then alliance requests. So, so far for me very positive, tough with 4x for me the critical thing is mechanics and AI, which will take me a while to judge. No crashes so far:), I think i found one small bug in the tutorial:Įxited info screen in turtorial when it was said to enter info screen research menu, couldnt go back, 2 tasks were white in the list of tasks. Not a big thing, but I am more used to "esc" being the default key for exiting, not tab. So i was intently looking for it in the upper menu, until i found out its actually in the bottom, you must click on the info Usually with 4x menus you got somwhere a list of everything ships, design, economy, research. The research screen - I was also looking a good minute how to enter research screen(before i did the tutorial ). Maybe i missed the info, but I stumbled by luck upon the fact that clicking on the tutorial tasks shows the details how to do it. With the tutorial i was looking for it a good minute, clicking all around, the queue, the texts. In the planetary screen, the build button is imho not obvious. When I select ships,I am not sure if blue or white means selected, it isnt obvious to me. ![]() Nice shorcuts for apprently everything, will come in handy in a longer game. The tutorial is quite good, tough for me its a bit to long, I alwys am impatient to startt my own adventure, not go through scripted stuff :) The graphics : maybe not stellaris class, but nice, above average for 4x Very nice atmospheric cutscenes, I was feeling immediately the vibe of Babylon V :) So my first impressions after playing a bit of the tutorial:
